I’m a oceanographer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My work often focuses on pressing environmental issues, such as nutrient pollution and invasive species, drawing on a wide variety of fields including geochemistry, microbiology, physical oceanography, and benthic ecology. Using models, I integrate these diverse aspects of marine science into a coherent whole to provide insight into current and past conditions, to predict future conditions, and to assess remediation and mitigation strategies.
